Most/all trickjumps have a degree of flexibility built in.
The more a jump is stretched.. the less options are available to the
jumper to successfully complete the jump.  

Less options being a more precise formula of jumping, stricter 
degrees of necessary angles required, and forces
certain styles - leading to ever greater need for absolute skill
and control. 

Ever harder jumps are fun for skilled trickjumpers as they are a
challenge, but for long complicated style jumps.. it is also good 
to have a slight degree of flexibility built-in as it gives a 
fraction for recovery time on a difficult very jump... and provides 
a more pleasurable jumping experience.

SJ5 is very high skill in itself (with exception of angel's avenger and 
mata's magic room which have massive degree of flexibility built in) 
but I realise SJ5 could easily have been made much harder still.  

I tested it at a even more difficult level and found it gave a more 
frustrating jumping experience, as perfection strafes (angles+ movement) 
were needed throughout.  SJ5 is already high advanced skill 
but to take it further would have made all jumps much more 
tiring and less fun.  

Already strayjump5 requires very high skills.. to make 
it harder still would makes take it from beyond skill to also
having extra time and patience to complete, and every jump
would need utmost precision. 

Therefore in SJ5 even some of the harder jumps are possible to OJ (overjump).
Thats because there is a degree of flexibility built in.  Anyone
who understands trickjump realises that you can't always get the same
distance each time.  For one oj you might struggle to get that fail
to reach another plat in the run over 20 attempts. Or fall short of 
an earlier platform, or not have the manouveribiltiy for an upcoming
jump which requires a change of direction.

Also.... players who do say "OJ" here and there on any trickjump
map.. as if its a mark of their skill... don't seem to realise that 
trickjump is all about control.  To brag about an OJ is totally
to miss the point of trickjumping, and anytime I hear someone say
it I feel sorry for them, as they clearly don't have deep knowledge
of trickjump principles at all.

TJ maps often need some flexibility in the jumps (especially complicated
runs of jumps) and Trickjumping is all about "control".  

Additionally those who have been saying "OJ" as though they are better
skill than my maps... well SJ5 is stretched to hard levels mostly..
so whilst I and advanced skill jumpers can do the map.. lets see how
you fare when there in this map where there is less flexibility
and high skill, precision jumping is needed using advanced technique.

CUrrently the map is enjoyable for only the few people who possess
very advanced trickjump skills because the flexibility in each run
of jumps is low... therefore requiring pure precision, flowing trickjump
skill.

Yes.. it could have been made harder.. but then it becomes tiring....
sometimes you get perfect strafe to get you full distance.. but it 
can be hard to recreate that next time... its no reason to go "oj lol"
as if your super kind of super strafer... because the map has flexibility
in it for valid reasons.  

Added to which some jumps, for instance straydog's shocker and sjaakie
slalom in SJ5 are deliberately not fully hard in distance. Those jumps
require flowing in left and right to avoid the obsticles.. and therefore
the main skill in those jumps is keeping your speed in alignment with the
run of jumps so that you don't hit the electricity bolts or the barriers.

TJ is not always about how far you can go - but its about being in full
control of your speed and direction, and being able to change and adapt
to the circumstances.

So strayjump5 is mostly advanced skill, but there remains some
flexibility in every jump - although still testing even for top jumpers.  

The jumps are set out.. its up to you to get to the otherside safely using 
trickjump skill and control ability.
